Some journeys begin with a single decision that quietly changes everything. Mine began after the birth of my second son, when I turned – rather than to a gym – to a sport I had long admired but never dared to learn: tennis.
What started as a personal challenge soon became an all-consuming passion. I played through Singapore's relentless heat, day or night. Yet with that devotion came a quieter truth: I would leave the court stiff and drained, and I began to notice how difficult it was to carry that exhaustion gracefully into the rest of my life.
Long before tennis, luxury fashion had shaped me – years in the industry instilled a deep appreciation for design, craftsmanship, and the quiet power of things made with intention. During the ESSEC Executive Master in Luxury Management and Design Innovation (EMiLUX), I spent a year studying how the world's most storied luxury houses elevate the everyday. As a woman playing tennis regularly, I saw what was missing from my own sport: apparel as beautifully considered as it was genuinely functional.
